So, I am back after almost a week. We had seen some basics in the last blog.

This blog is just about basic introduction to various equipments. Photography is not about equipment but equipment is one of the important element of photography.

There is a huge variety of equipments available in Market. I will be telling you about some basics.

So what does equipment mean? According to me , ' Equipment is that organ of photography which helps you to capture images, help you to capture in various situations, helps you on field etc. Lets see various types of equipments.

Cameras -

Mobile camera - This is one of the basic thing ,all of us have. Its one of the most portable thing. All of us now-a-days have better quality Mobile cameras with various features. What i appreciate about technology in mobiles now-a-days is that it provides you with Manual modes. This is one of the best things for beginners to try with, before buying a DSLR.I would suggest always try with Manual mode on your mobile camera to get acquainted with Manual mode.I have seen some people clicking really better photos on mobile phones than people click on DSLR cameras.

Point and Shoot Camera - These are of two types i.e Sleek design and one that looks similar to semi dslrs.Often beginners get confused with point and shoot and semi dslr. I was one of them who always used to call my point and shoot as a Semi DSLR. But then when I read more about  it, I came to know the difference. Point and shoots are easy to use. No confusions with those maual modes. Better to handle for beginners.

Semi DSLR's - Semi DSLR looks similar to some point and shoot cameras. But the difference between both is that in Semi DSLR you have all the manual options, that you have in a DSLR. But one thing is that Semi DSLR's have a fixed lens so you have a disadvantage over here. But at the same time you can use it for closeups as well as zoomed out photos.

DSLR's - DSLR is a wide topic . You have lot to learn about DSLR and lot to upgrade your equipment. Dslr are of 2 types, Cropped sensor and Full frame sensor. Main difference between both of them is Full frame sensor camera gives you the whole frame photos that a lens can give while cropped sensor gives you a cropped image of what a lens can give you. More about both of them would be discussed in further blogs. Advantage of DSLR is that you can change your lenses according to your need. For example - If youbare shooting wildlife you would definitely go for zoom lens but while shooting portraits or sceneries you would go for prime lens.DSLR is mainly for manual modes. If you are confident enough with using manual modes then definitely go for a DSLR

Thats all for this blog.In the next part, I will be telling you about various lens and their use.Till then stay tuned to my FB page for updates. Any doubts/comments/suggestions/collaborations then do contact me.
